Oct 27, 2014 Hi everybody. I've been wanting to make some Minecraft animations recently, but I've run into a bit of a problem. Should I use Blender or Mine-imator? I have a Mac. Blender seems a bit complicated to me, but I think I can learn with some tutorials. If I use Mine-imator, I'll have to use WineBottler to convert it for Mac.

Also, would using WineBottler be a risk to my computer? Thanks!Hi Musicminer1031. I was asking myself the same question a week ago. I tried both and found that blender has a very steep learning curve ( I made my profile picture in blender ). Mine-imator was fairly easy to pick up on. I would like to explore blender more in the future, but I decided to make my video intro with Mine-imator.
You can watch it here in the first 15 seconds of the video.I was able to get my castle scene imported into blender, but it was really difficult getting all the settings correct for the movement, rigs, and rendering.Mine-imator removes some of that complication. I think it would be wise to start with Mine-imator and work your way into blender for more advanced animations.
